Google Webmaster Central — Improvements

Google has improved its Webmaster Tool Offerings significantly, and every webmaster should visit http://www.google.com/webmasters/ — which a comprehensive one-stop shop for a lot of information about your site and how Google crawls it. In case of access problems, Google provides you with tools and vital statistics with which to diagnose crawling issues.
- The Site status wizard — Verifies whether your site is currently being indexed by Google without problems.
- Google’s blog for webmasters — Use this to get the latest news and info on how Google crawls and indexes websites.
- Webmaster tools (including Sitemaps) — Statistics, diagnostics and management of Google’s crawling and indexing of your website, including Sitemap submission and reporting.
- Submit your content to Google — Learn about submitting content for Google properties such as Google Base and Google Book Search.
- Google’s discussion group for webmasters — A discussion group within Google groups (http://groups.google.com/group/Google_Webmaster_Help) where you can post your “Google” questions and also read a wealth of information already posted by other users.
- Webmaster Help Center - A central depository of Google FAQs about crawling, indexing, ranking, misc. webmaster issues and documentation.
Pay special attention to information on backlinks(external) and internal links which are critical aspects of SEO(Search Engine Optimization). This is a new feature similar to the one found in Yahoo Site Explorer. Also note any HTTP and miscellaneous errors, that will help you fix problems on your site.
