Website Update - April 30, 2005

Afro Articles is alive and kicking!
What surprises me most is that this website was sanboxed by Google for a relatively short while in comparison to the other websites in our network. On the other hand, we suspect that it may never have been sandboxed at all.
We registered AfroArticles.com on November 04, 2005 and didn’t start any serious work on the website until two months ago. Within that short period we have gained a decent Google PageRank (Some say PR is meaningless), and we are already receiving a substantial number of hits via search engines.
Our intention is to feed the database with quality articles gathered internetwide at a gradual pace……we check and recheck each article prior to posting because a directory full of ‘garbage’ will NOT attract quality authors.
There are 36 registered authors as of today and we project that this number will rise sharply as the search engines pick up the articles in our database.
We are also engaged furious promotion of our feeds (feed page installed a week ago)…It may take a while to see tangible results, but we are determined to get there.
This blog’s templates also need to be customized to match with the rest of the site. We hope to do so within the next week or so. Also some parts of the website have not yet been constructed.
