Alia Curtis, a former native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has resided in Oakland, Ca. for six years. Since moving to California, she has had the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language and Accent Reduction to non-native speakers of English as well as Grammar and Literature to High School and Jr. High school students in the Bay area.

She attended The New College of California and received an MA in Writing and Consciousness in 2005 and is embarking upon her new and challenging career as a writer. She developed and taught a creative writing course for High school and Jr. High school students from the underserved community of Hunter's Point and presently does Business Marketing Writing & Editing, but her passion is Paranormal Fiction.

Her publishing credits include a short story in the paranormal/fantasy genre and journalism.

She has completed her first novel. Upon publication she hopes that it will thrill and chill her reading audience.
