There Cannot be any Roundtable on Pakistan Without Baluchistan
The critical geo-strategic location of Baluchistan at the northern coastland of the Ormuz straits, the ongoing War on Islamic terrorism, and the ambivalent relationship of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the West delineate the great importance of the legendary land of Ancient Gedrosia which has been multi-divided down to our days.
There Cannot Be US-Pakistan Partnership at the Detriment of Baluchistan
It is a shame that the verbose Mr. Boucher did no find a word to say about Baluchistan; it is a sign of ignorance, arrogance and inanity.
The Harsh Destiny of Baloch Women
In a recent report on this subject, the Pakistani Baloch leader, Senator Sanaullah Baloch, reveals an appalling situation that is impossible to be rectified through NGOs' good intentions and fervent efforts. The international community, and more particularly the UN Security Council, should study the current situation and ask the great and ancient nation of the Baloch whether they agree or not with their forced annexation and the division of Balochistan into three separate parts.
Balochistan – 60 Years Ago: the Twilight of Independence
There are even more important reasons for which the world community should be concerned with Balochistan: its great geo-strategic position between Iran, Central Asia, and India, its long coastland at the exit of the Ormuz straits, its role as regards a political containment of Iran, and its function as break waves against Islamic extremism.
The Cultural Genocide of Balochistan
Balochistan's banned author, Dr. Naseer Dashti, could not imagine that two of his books were considered as 'a threat to the very integrity of the federation of Pakistan'. In regard with the ban, Dr. Naseer Dashti said to Malik Siraj Akbar: "If a book is to disintegrate a country then there is nothing that can integrate a country". This seems to be the most accurate and epigrammatic definition of Pakistan.
Pakistani Balochistan – Medical Treatement denied to Baloch Political Leader
Arrested in September 2006, Mr. Akhtar Mengal is scheduled to die in jail, as the merciless extremist Islamist tyrant Musharraf denies him every access to elementary medical treatment. Following his extrajudicial arrest for accusation that have never been spelt out ever since, few people have been allowed to briefly meet him in jail.
Baluchistan’s Long Route for Self-determination and Independence
As the greatest part of the Baluchi population live in Pakistan, a lot is at stake there; in the recent elections, the Baluchi nationalist political parties decided to express their rejection of traditional political schemes, calling for a boycott that under the current circumstances of oppression was difficult to observe. Yet, the brave Baluchi people, although knowing to what reprisals this act would expose them, observed it in their quasi-totality.
