Wouldn’t you love to be manifesting your business creatively – your own continual creativity and that of your staff as well? You could regularly create new products and programs, high quality and innovative marketing materials and attract your ideal clients. By constantly creating new products and new services, you will be able to offer more value to your clients. Newness and innovation bring greater satisfaction to both your staff and your customers and clients.

Manifesting creativity in business means going with the flow and not resisting what may seem unconventional or different or something that requires you to make small or even major changes in your business. When you resist going with what seems to be the flow, you are cutting off your creativity cord.

Instead of hesitating and resisting change, break out of your traditional box and do the needful. Use your energy for creation instead of wasting it on fear, doubt and worry. Is there a chance a creative idea will fail? Yes, but that is good information for the next manifestation of your creative objective.

If you feel that you are not a creative person and find yourself concentrating more on your competition than on your creativity, be aware that creativity can be learned and developed. You can be disciplined, spontaneous and creative at the same time. Below are 8 action steps to manifest your business creatively.

1. Set time frames for coming up with creative ideas. Set the date (two weeks from today) or even sooner (two hours from now). This will bring intensive one-pointed focus by you and your staff.

2. Choose teams in small numbers so they have greater freedom to switch gears and change direction when new and creative ideas emerge.

3. Keep an open environment, both within the physical office space as well as in philosophy so there can be more interaction, more awareness of what others are thinking and doing and greater team-building.

4. Allow some risk taking, veering slightly away from the conventional and with periodic check-in and evaluation. Planned weekly or bi-weekly open sessions can be helpful by using a kind of Master Mind forum where the leader can leverage the power and energy of the whole.

5. Schedule creativity competition. Once a month collect all of the new ideas from your staff and choose a winner. Make sure the winners’ ideas are carried out in some tangible way.

6. Provide for and schedule blocks of quiet time in a special room – for yourself and your staff. Silence time is necessary so that you and your staff have an opportunity to hook up your ‘creativity antennae’ with the Source of all creation. Do this by allowing your heart and soul to become operative. Some people create by listening to music, some by taking an empty sheet of paper to draw or write whatever comes up for them, and some prefer to quiet the mind and meditate. Whatever works is allowed.

7. Offer diverse training for your staff to increase their potential for creative output. Everyone has creative abilities. An interesting statistic: The average adult thinks of 3-6 alternatives for any given situation. The average child thinks of 60 alternatives.

8. Value independent thinking, risk taking, and learning and let it be known to your staff. Creativity requires practice to develop the right muscles and a supportive environment in which to flourish and utilize this new skill.

Research has shown that the greater the creative quantity, the greater the quality. The longer the list of ideas, the higher the quality of the final solution. The highest quality ideas usually appear at the end of the list.

Your company leaders and managers can be trained to set your company apart from the rest of your competition. They can develop the ability to perceive things in new ways, to find unusual patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated information and to generate new and fresh solutions.

Step out of any boxes you may have around yourself and your company. Implement as many innovative changes as possible. You will soon be manifesting your business creatively.
