Learn the Right Way to Eat to Lose Weight Fast

Gaining weight and retaining fat is unique to each individual and is determined by his or her genetic code. Consider the scenario from our body's perspective: it sees us as the very same hunter-gatherers fighting for survival as we did 40,000 years ago!

When our bodies senses the arrival of a famine (alerted by a major drop in daily calories), our metabolism had to adjust and burn calories slowly for survival.

Today, that same survival tactic comes into play whenever we go on a crash diet (severely limiting what we eat to lose weight fast); this is because our bodies still think that another famine has arrived. Naturally, our metabolism gets sluggish, and our body will hang on to every calorie it can conserve.

When we don't eat to lose weight fast, it actually causes us to burn fewer calories and store more fat, which is exactly the opposite of what we were trying to achieve in the first place.

And to worsen the scenario, the body prefers fat as its main store of energy, so instead of burning fat to compensate for the energy deficit, it will burn almost 40% of muscle mass when you don't eat to lose weight fast. Since your muscle tissue is metabolically active with the ability to burn calories all by itself, you certainly don't want to lose it.

In addition, lean muscle is what makes our bodies look lean and trim. A person who weighs 165 pounds with a lot of lean muscle and little fat will look much thinner and healthier than a person who weighs 125 pounds with little lean muscle and a lot of fat.

There is a chance that you will appear even fatter after your crash diet ends, regardless of the weight gain or loss. It gets worse. Your body has now been trained to hang onto fat, and you have actually harmed your metabolic mechanism. Once you start eating normally again, your body will be more prone to gaining weight.

The weight loss marketers and diet pill pushers are doing nothing but selling sand in the desert; crash diets are very detrimental to your body and its mechanism. If you think you can not eat to lose weight fast, you will be proved wrong.

Yes, it is totally possible to find a healthy and results-oriented plan to eat to lose weight fast, but it won't be as fast as some of these other options have led you to believe.

You have to come up with a weight loss plan that is realistic and sustainable. It must be an option that can be a lifestyle change that you enjoy.

Work on modifying your eating habits, incorporating an exercise regime, and setting a weight loss goal of 1 to 2 pounds of fat every week. It may not sound like a lot, but if you are able to maintain a good portion of your muscle mass your appearance can actually improve quite rapidly.
