How I sold over 5000 safelist memberships

I started my own safelist business with Topsafelistbiz and I have sold over 5000 memberships at $12. each. Here is how I did it.

My number one most effective method was email marketing. I am not talking about spam. I am talking about sending email directly to other marketers. My potential customers are those who are already looking for ways to promote their websites. My best source of leads has been Lead Club Pro FFA. Ffa leads work very well because they are all fellow marketers not just consumers. Also, in order to post your ads to ffa pages now ffa networks require that posters confirm their email addresses. So the emails are all double confirmed and people actually see your ads. I have tested this personally over and over. Another advantage to ffa leads if you are selling marketing tools is that they are very inexpensive. You can get about 60,000 for just $20.

I would use my own bulk email program to send out a simple ad promoting the safelist to the ffa leads. This has yielded the best results.

My next best technique has been the use of autoresponders. Autoresponders follow up automatically with your customers with preset messages. I use the Aweber autoresponder system which is top notch. I then put sign up forms on all my web pages and encourage visitors to join my newsletter. The newsletter has messages which go out every 4 days talking about marketing and reminding my subscribers to purchase a safelist membership. This is an incredibly effective technique for all my websites. You should absolutely be following up automatically with your customers reminding them to buy from you. Tests have shown that it takes customers at least seven exposures to your business before they purchase. Use autoresponders!

My third technique is the use of pay per click advertising. The two best are Google and Yahoo Search. You can reserve targeted search terms and bid on the cost per click that you are willing to pay.

The next technique is the use of link exchanges. I have installed the infowizards link exchange software on my site. I invite other webmaster in my niche to place their link on my site for free. When they come to get the free publicity they see my site and perhaps purchase and or join my mailing list. Also in order to place their link on my site for free they have to place a link to my site on their site. This way their visitors can see my ad on their site. The infowizards program handles this tedious process automatically and uses search engine friendly pages. Some of my link exchange pages have risen to the top of the Google searches for their respective keywords naturally because of all the targeted links.

Once you have developped a large newsletter list you can then start exchanging ads with other ezine list owners. This is incredibily effective. The idea is you send out their ad to your list and they do the same to their list. If possible you can join each other's affiliate programs to earn extra commissions. This really works if you get the right partners.

The great part about selling safelist membersips is that the price is $12. per year and automatically renews. I now get last year's renewals every day.
