Exercise is a natural part of life, although these days we have to consciously include it in our daily routine. Biologically, it was part of survival, in the form of hunting and gathering or raising livestock and growing food. This article looks into some important yet no so known benefits of physical activities.

First, exercise is about enjoying a physically active lifestyle. It improves your circulation, which can lead to more satisfying sex. And men who exercise regularly are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than are men who don't exercise, especially as they get older. Exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight.

Exercise is recommended to help you remain healthy as possible. It can help to maintain weight and generally improve how one feels. Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, and you don't need an expensive gym membership or home equipment to start an exercise routine or keep one going. Exercise isn't a competition. Every bit you do benefits your body and mind - and will help protect your painful joints. You may need to adjust your mindset a bit to get the most out of it.

Apart from the well known fact that exercise helps with weight loss, lets look at other benefits.

Exercise helps you maintain bone density later in life, it is also good for your brain. People with asthma should not avoid exercising. Exercise also reduces levels of cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone that builds fat in the abdominal region, making weight loss difficult.

Regular aerobic exercise is a key to maintaining a non-tox body in our toxic environment . On the other hand, exercise increases the production of toxins in the body, so it must be accompanied by consuming a lot of water, antioxidants ,vitamins and mineral replenishment to help you flush it out.

Exercise changes the way your body reacts to insulin. Regular exercise makes your body more sensitive to insulin, and your blood sugar level may get too low (called hypoglycemia) after exercising. Exercise can also be an effective treatment for anxiety. Some research studies indicate that regular exercise may be as effective as other treatments like medication to relieve mild to moderate depression. Exercise has a cumulative effect. You can get the same benefits from working out in three, 20-minute intervals a day or building up your hour in five-minute chunks. The important thing to remember is to start slow and make it fun. Start with just a small block of time, maybe fifteen minutes. As you get into your routine, you probably won't mind increasing to twenty, and then thirty, minutes.

Personally I love walking. Its my favourite way to exercise because its easy to do and maintain as a routine. Other exercise methods that use little to no equipment include biking, swimming, climbing stairs and jogging. Walk to a co-worker's office rather than phoning. Take a walk (10 to 30 minutes) during your lunch hour. Walking oxygenates the brain. Maybe that's why some people say, "A good walk clears my head and helps me think better." because that's just what it does.

Walk a little more briskly when shopping; stretch, bend, and lift a little more when doing work around the house or apartment. Washing floors, vigorous sweeping and vacuuming, and other household chores can add up quickly .Fitting exercise into your day can be tough, but it needs to be done. Exercise works the same way. Taking that first step can be hard, especially if you've been diagnosed with diabetes or other health problems.

In summary, physical inactivity is ranked just behind cigarette smoking as a cause of ill health. It may not be a cure-all for obesity, however exercise is a great way to keep older people active, but should be approached with caution as it doesn't have to be vigorous to be beneficial. Exercise is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
